"Handling of Personal Information" is originally prepared in the Japanese language. This document is an English translation provided for your convenience, only and shall not bind you and the Company.
NAVITIME JAPAN Co., Ltd. (referred to as the “Company”) will handle your personal information acquired in connection with providing “NAVITIME” or “DRIVE SUPPORTER” (referred to as the “Service”), according to the following rules (referred to as the “Rules”) and the Privacy Policy established by the Company.
1.Definition of Personal Information

In the Rules, the “Personal Information” is defined as the information that can identify the specific individual (including such information that will allow easy reference to other information and will thereby enable the identification of the specific individual) by combining one or more of the information listed below.

① Information registered by you in relation to “NAVITIME ID” registration or the membership of “KUCHIKOMI-HIROBA”(Such as mailing address, password, nickname, gender, birth date, prefecture and city governments, civil status, the presence or absence of children, occupation, etc)
② Information registered by you in relation to the use of Service(Such as address, the point where you have specified, station, train line, mailing address, etc)
(2) Information received automatically in relation to the use of the Service
① Information regarding the usage history of the Service of your(Such as the functions used, date and time of request, web request, location information received via GPS, etc)
② Information regarding your device(Such as device type, OS, browser type, device-specific ID, etc)
③ Information with cookies(Such as internet protocol address, browsing history to the Service, etc)
(3) Information obtained through your inquiry
(Such as name, phone number, mailing address, details of inquiries, etc)
3.Purposes of using Personal Information

(1) To provide and manage of the Service.
(2) To improve the convenience of the Service.
(3) To assist the development of new services and products.
(4) To respond to inquiries.
(5) To deliver or display advertisement.
(6) To create statistical data relating to the Service, in a form that cannot identify an individual.
(7) To protect your privacy.
(8) To contact when the protection of life, body, or property becomes necessary.
4.Disclosure to third parties

The Company will not provide your Personal Information to third parties. However, the following cases are excluded.

(2)The Company entrusts to a third party all or part of handling the Personal Information in accordance with paragraph 5 (Entrustment of handling of Personal Information).
(3)Personal Information is provided through a business transfer by way of merger or other similar transaction.
(4)Disclosure is permitted by applicable laws or regulations, or the Company is required to provide by applicable laws or regulations and by the order of the courts.
5.Entrustment of handling of Personal Information

The Company may entrust other companies with the handling of Personal Information in whole or in part to the extent necessary in order to achieve the purpose of use stated in Paragraph 3 (Purposes of using Personal Information).

② disclose such data;
③ correct, add to or delete data; or
④ stop use of such data, stop providing it to a third party, or data erasure.
8.Discretionary property of providing Personal Information

If you do not wish to provide your Personal Information, please uninstall the service application or stop the use of the Service.
9.Access and secure management of Personal Information

In handling Personal Information, the Company sets the rules on the basis of the laws or the regulations or the guidelines established by the government, the Company informs such rules to the employees, and has taken necessary measures and safety management.
If you cancel the Service, the Company will remove or dispose the Personal Information that you have provided, based on the Company’s regulations. For requests updating the Personal Information you provide, the Company will strive to respond promptly. However, if the request is repeated without appropriate reason, or if the request is technically difficult (e.g. to delete the data in the backup) , the Company may refuse to respond.

11.Revision of Rules

The Rules may be revised based on our decision, due to reasons such as to adhere to the country's laws and guidelines. The revision of the Rules becomes effective when the Company posts the Rules revised on this page. However, if the Company makes significant changes to the Rules, the changes will be clearly informed within the Service at a reasonable time in advance, and the revised Rules will be posted later on this page.
